If you've got a question about using the free online version of BikeCAD, post it here.
Hi there,
I am waiting now for 1 hour on the white screen. I tried yesterday evening on Internet Explorer and left it overnight. This morning it was started. After a restart of the laptop I am trying to start it bikecad free again, but still nothing. I reinstalled Java (8u40), but still nothing. Is there some way to speed things up?
Thanks,
Roger
How do you add downtube shifters?
Im trying to just print out the frame and wheels and I don't need to see the tires and feet next to the bike. How can I turn this off? (I should know this by now)
thanks mike frye
Is there a way to display lug angles in BikeCAD free?
Hi
The last some hours I've been trying to undestand the program. After maybe 10 or 20 minutes I'm being logged out, nothing was saved and I need to start from scratch. Saving is awkward as it appears to only upload to my library and editing from there seems not intended. Also my system is german and I have absolutely no clue what most of the german translations mean. And I can't find a way to change my language to english. IE is on en_gb, en.
Halp! Pleeeez!
Hi! I work in a bike shop, and want to be able to show my customers the difference in frame geometry between Trek and Specialized bikes. Both Trek and Specialized give geometry, but no pictures, or the ability to "overlay" frames to show, for example, wheel base or BB drop differences. I thought I could use BikeCAD to do that myself, but the details required to input frame geometry, as far as i can tell, are too in-depth.
Does anybody know if BikeCAD already has, let's say, Tarmac vs Roubaix vs Madone vs Domane geometries already inputted? I have already doen the raw dimesnion comparison, now I just want to be able to show a picture....
Thanks!
Hi all,
Whenever i try to load bikecad i get an application error "ClassNotFoundException" bikeCADPro. Is there an issue with it or am I doing something wrong?
Any help would be appreciated, many thanks.
Attempting to upload a file to 'My Designs' and am receiving the pictured error message:
Hi,
One of my current bikes has a 72 Degree seat tube and my saddle top (in line with seat tube) is 762mms above the BB center.
I am using a 20mm offset post and my preferred saddle (Brooks Swallow) is maxed in rearward adjustment. I can FEEL the need to move farther rearward in all conditions. I'd like to stay with the same post and saddle for my new build, so I am playing with seat tube angles to change saddle placement.
If I maintain the current saddle height, but change the seat tube angle to 70 degrees, how much rearward have I moved the saddle in relation to the BB?
Is there a feature (that I am missing) on BIKECAD that would allow me to see the results these changes? Or, is there a rule of thumb or a math formula that I could use while designing my bike?
Thanks very much
I'm trying to enter this frame (size 63) into bikecad
See frame dimensions here:
The problem is that the frame in bikecad (http://www.bikecad.ca/applet?model=1394977711475) doesn't look like my bike. My bike has almost no slope, but the bike in bikecad clearly has some slope. So am I entering the wrong information or is the info on dimension chart wrong?
