I have just got Chromebook at work thinking that BikeCAD would run on it but I have just found this page and seeing that it was 4 years ago I am kind of hoping that there maybe a workaround by now?
The free version of BikeCAD will now run on a Chromebook. You can try it out at: bikecad.ca/quickapplet. Unfortunately, it runs quite a bit slower than BikeCAD Pro. For BikeCAD Pro owners, I could setup a version of this with most of the features unlocked. However, I have not implemented that yet because I worried that people would find it too slow. Let me know your thoughts.
Unfortunately, the Chromebook does not currently support Java. Therefore, there is no way to run BikeCAD Pro on it at this time.
