I've always loved bikes. As a mechanical engineering student at the University of Waterloo, I was fortunate to gain work experience in a variety of bicycle production environments. My first job was with Vitus Bicycles in France. From there, I went to Syncros in Vancouver, B.C.; Southcott in Adelaide, South Australia; and finally learned from the legendary Chris Dekerf at Dekerf Cycle Innovations in Vancouver, B.C. In 1998, I founded the Bicycle Forest and proceeded to create a variety of ridiculous bicycles such as the Couchbike, Treadmill Bike, HulaBike and Pimped out Rhoades Car. Also in 1998, I began to develop BikeCAD. At first, it was mostly to aid in my own bicycle building endeavours. However, Serotta Custom Bicycles was one of the first companies to see the potential in the software and it was through working with them that I began to develop the more full featured version of the program: BikeCAD Pro - for builders, shops and fit specialists. Since then, I have received feedback and encouragement from countless frame builders and cycling enthusiasts. There is still lots more I hope to do with BikeCAD and BikeCAD Pro, and so I have now made that my primary focus. If you have any questions or comments about BikeCAD, I hope you'll post it in the forum. You can also contact me by e-mail here.
