If someone has made a BikeCAD drawing in the free version, say the following: Trek Madone RSL http://www.bikecad.ca/1460232225953 Is it possible to download that as a BikeCAD file then email that to be opened by someone who uses the Pro Version? There is a "Download BikeCAD file" tab but when selected, simply stated the below, note below not complete.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

BCAD files save the bicycle design information in XML format. Therefore, when you clicked the "Download BikeCAD file" link, your browser simply displayed the contents of the BCAD file which happens to be XML. Had you right clicked on the link and chosen "Save link as..." or "Save target as..." you would have downloaded the BCAD file, which you could have in turn opened in BikeCAD Pro.
Having said this, there is a much simpler way to go about it. In BikeCAD Pro, there is an option to Open design from BCAD file on the Web. You can click on that option and then simply paste in the URL. For your example, the URL would be http://www.bikecad.ca/1460232225953. This is further explained at: bikecad.ca/opening_and_saving_online.
So simple I couldn't see for looking! Thanks Brent
