Setback and Seat tube offset

BikeCAD Feature Request

Setup (Dimensions Frame Dialog box) is an X value measured from somewhere (arbitrary) on the Seat tube relative to BB.
I do not know why the measurement starts there, And I cannot change the starting point
Also I cannot find the matching Y value in the Dimensions Dialog box

Seat tube Offset (total) in the Dimensions Frame Dialog box, does not show up in the drawing, when selected.

Taking frame measures of an old bike

BikeCAD Feature Request

Building a new bike never starts from scratch
I always start from an older bike
Measuring the old bike, and importing these dimensions into BikeCAD takes a lot of time
Not in the least because angles are difficult to measure
That is why I have to measure a lot of diagonal dimensions.

Manu dimensions In BikeCAD start from the saddle.
I think the saddle is not a good starting point to take measures from an older bike
The saddle is not flat, it is placed for and aft, etc
And there is always the very difficult to know Saddle reference point X and Y in BikeCAD.

Different color for user defined dimensions

BikeCAD Feature Request

I am very pleased with the possibility to create my own dimensions.
BUT. They are not parametrically connected to the model.
Which I forget more than once, when remodelling a design.

Is it possible to give these custom made dimensions a slightly different look?

For instance 500 instead of the standard 500

Suggestion for one time user.

BikeCAD Feature Request

BikeCAD is a terrific program and certainly if I was using it for business I wouldn't think twice about purchasing BikeCAD Pro. I just want to design a bike for myself. In order to proportion everything properly I need the rider display which is not available in the free version. My geometry is unusual so trying to work by measurements alone is too time consuming and prone to error. My suggestion is to implement a means to purchase BikeCAD Pro on a per design basis. One way could be to disable the generation of any type of output.

Selectable library of production saddles, posts, stems, handlebars and pedals

BikeCAD Feature Request

Is there a pre-loaded library of saddles, posts, handlebars, stems, forks and pedals?

This way you can quickly set-up and refine your design without having to map complex handlebar curves, saddle surface height relative to rails, post set-back, pedal stack height, and fork height, rake and clearance.

Working out these measurements individulally make the software too cumbersome to use.

Relying on someone else's measurements in the 'blog-o-sphere' is too risky.

BikeCAD Feature Request

I use the miter templates a lot. It would be nice if each template had the date and time stamp located within the template. Then I would know if it was correct. Sometimes I have old templates and cannot easily identify them once they are cut from the page.

Maybe a bottom bracket wrap around template similar to the miter templates to locate the vent holes and or the tube interface shapes.

CS Dent

BikeCAD Feature Request

I'd love to see an option to add CS dents for crank, chainring + tire clearance.

This isn't a feature for the artisan builder so much as it is something I'd like to have if I'm sending a drawing off to a frame MFG overseas.

If I'm an idiot and there is this feature, can you link me to it?

Thanks

Gusset tube from ST to TT

BikeCAD Feature Request

Is it possible to add a gusset tube from the top of ST to the TT? Ideally with variable length and angle relative to either ST or TT.

How about a couple/few hours of one to one instruction?
