BikeCAD Feature Request

Dear forum members,

Since one week, I am using BikeCAD too. I love all the features. In my opinion, it's the best bicycle CAD and bicycle fitting program currently available. If BikeCAD is planning to add some new features, I suggest the possibility to design handbikes, recumbent bikes and velomobiles. Also a possibility to add metallic paint jobs would be very nice. And the feature to add chrome to components / forks would be awesome for vintage bicycle lovers.

Kind regards,

Forum member Caspador

Individual spoke and nipple colours

BikeCAD Feature Request

Unless there's a dedicated tool for wheel design I'd like to draft my custom wheel in BikeCAD Pro. For my recent design I'm using accent spokes with complementary coloured nipples. I had to resort to a drawing program to colourise the final design for my wheel builder.

What do you think?

Bikepacking Soft Luggage

BikeCAD Feature Request

Hi Brent,

It would be great to have some extra bikepacking soft luggage options, maybe a seat pack, a frame bag and a bar roll.

On smaller frames it could really help working out what will fit.

Thanks,

Tim

BikeCAD Feature Request

I know you can have an externally butted tube, however it would be really nice to be able to show the ST sleeve many of us use on our frames.

and of course being able to make it scalloped would be the bees knees!

BikeCAD Feature Request

Hi,

I wonder if it is possible to show the seat tube in the auxiliary stay view, when the stays are attached to the head tube.

And if there will be a way to use bent brake bridges?

Thanks Patrick

BikeCAD Feature Request

Hi Brent,

So everyone wants fat tyres and these Columbus Triple Bend chainstays are pretty useful:

An extra bend on the chainstay modelling would be useful.

I could not find a place to enable thread response notifications, but this should be on by default, the e-mail notifications would make the forum more active and get more people involved.

Template Database

BikeCAD Feature Request

A crowdsource template database for people to add Hubs, Cogs, Cranks etcetera.

It would be nice to publish parts to an online parts database so other can take advantage of other contributions instead of each having to design their own.

I believe that would be usefull as I had to spent a long time hunting for Alfine 11 DI2 specs to add to BikeCAD and feel if I could share it others could save their time.

Up / Down Number Arrows

BikeCAD Feature Request

Brent - Thanks for the great program.

Since this is the feature request section, I'm going to ask: Can you put Up/Down arrows next to numbers in dialog boxes?

I would like to just press a button to change a dimension, and watch the bike change on screen. I currently have to re-enter dimensions to have the bike fall within the angles I need for lugs, and using up/down button to change a dimension would make fitting things much easier than entering higher and lower numbers in various boxes.
