Saving saddle reference coordinates with the saddle model
By MILES Radsport | 1:26 PM EST, Tue March 09, 2021
Hi Brent,
I would like to be able to save the data I enter for saddle reference points (X) and (Y) with the saddle in the standard library.
When modeling saddles I use the parameter A to define where the lowest point of the upper saddle contour is. And I guess that was also your intention. But this is not necessarily the halfway point of the saddle length. When measuring the saddle height in order to get to comparable values it is often recommended to first mark that halfway point on the surface of the saddle and then measure from the center of the bb up to that point.
Another method to model chainstays
By RedOctober357 | 6:56 PM EST, Mon January 18, 2021
Hello, I'm always having trouble modeling prebent chainstays offered by many suppliers when I'm cutting up the chainstays to meet my desired cs length. I'm currently trying to use the deda cs tubes in the attached drawing. You can see that their drawings use both angle measurements (from method 2), along with radii and A/C measurements (from method 1) to the middle of the bends. If there was a 3rd method using this drawing style, I could subtract the length of my designed chainstay length from their numbers to get an offset and accurately model the chainstay bends in the right spot.

Multiple Images

I'd love to be able to add multiple images to a drawing. I'm finding it's very handy to import some component images (saddle and handlebars in particular) to overlay on the drawing. It's difficult if not impossible to get dimensions from manufacturers, so this goes much of the way to solving that issue.

Potentially update the brake lever options to include current models; useful for bike fitting
