Just thought I'd share a preview of the option to model a braze-on front derailleur mount in BikeCAD version 12.1. This mount is shown below with a Dura-Ace FD 9000 derailleur.

Just thought I'd post a preview of some of the new rear dropout options that will be included in BikeCAD version 12. BikeCAD has for a long time allowed for the modeling of a wide variety of dropout styles and has allowed for the precise definition of critical dimensions such as the connection points for the rear end of the seat stays and chain stays as well as the location of the derailleur mount and rack and fender eyelets.

Low Standover Tandem

Finally got time to play with the tandem feature on Version 11. I used a frame I built about 18 months ago as the test.

At that time I had to model the front on BikeCAD, export that image and underlay it beneath the model of the rear. This involved a good deal of tinkering to make the front "chainstays" the stretcher tube and rear "head tube" overlay the front seat tube.

With V11 it's a two minute job. More great work Brent.

Designed by Paul Smith, tubes cut and mitered by Max Norrell, welded by Joe Walker, bead brushed and mirror polished logos' Jaco Ehlers, the mirror polished logos' were then anodised by Greg Stevens who then skilfully built this stunning frame into a stunning bike; the end result, a true Enigma. Designed and built by us the Enigma Team right here in Sussex.

A client brought in a Serotta in need of a little attention.

I mocked it up in BikeCAD and designed the new fork, frame mods, and repairs.

Add a little TV magic, and voila, new bike ready for many more happy miles.

Bamboo fixie for a small rider

ABOUT THE DESIGN This bike I just completed was quite a challenge, but BikeCAD was great to help me get it done. The rider is a very strong racer but he is very small, and we know small bikes are the hardest. Much of the tweaking and compromising had to do with his desire for a specific look which included a smaller rear triangle and a top tube as close to level as possible. Being that his legs are so short we could not afford enough stand over height clearance without some top tube slope.
