Rotor Q Rings
What about the Rotor Q-Rings? A lot of people use them...

If there's a feature you'd like to see added to BikeCAD, suggest it here.

Hi Brent,
I'd like to suggest "overall mitred tube lengths" (if they aren't already in there!!) as a set dimension.
It would be great to have that set as a standard dimensions. I could select them for a Template so I could see at a glance if my standard tubes are long enough.
Hi,
This is only a problem I've had on track bikes, but is there any way to get rid of the chain in the chainstay aux view?
On a multi geared bike you can change cog combinations to see the clearance between chainring and stay, but on a track bike there are no other cogs to shift it to.
I want the stays as wide as possible for tyre clearance and to be able to see how much clearance is available when I change chain ring size.
Thanks,
Chris
Hi,
do you think of including chainstay yokes? Im usong the more often and it would be a nice feature I think...
Cheers Patrick
There are a few additional mitre templates I would like to see in future versions of BikeCAD:
- Hooded dropout/CS junction
- Hooded dropout/SS junction
- Slotting templates for plate-style drop-outs. Slotting a curved cs or ss by hand with a dropout whose tab cannot be bent such as the paragon polydrop could possibly benefit from this.
- Brake and cs bridge
Thanks,
Rob
I realize this request is a bit over the top, but I figure since you can adjust the color of every other conceivable option, it would be nice to have this option as well. Maybe the issue is that nipples are not really visable in bikecad in general?
Brent,
Is there any provision for mitering with the Sputnik system? We have switched over to it. Before I describe how it works, maybe you can direct me to the already established dimension checkbox?
Thanks,
Tony
Hi Brent & the forum,
Currently I use a homemade frame fixture comprised of a few peices of 8020 in a bottom up style. I have been using the linear dimension tool to set up my main triangle and would love to have these measures automated by the software. I use the linear dimension X tool to make a measure from the center of the bb out the horizontal distance to where the steerer axis would intersect, and then use the linear dimension tool to run up the steerer axis to the bottom of the headtube. These two measures along with head tube angle are how I set up my front end.
Hi,
It would be great to add the ability to adjust brake bridge angle to compensate for curved rear stays
Hey Brent,
A couple small things I would love to see:
1. A way of customizing cranks based on chainline. In otherwords have chainring placement described as afunction of distance from centre line rather than the current working backwards in several steps from Q factor, crank thickness etc.
2. Allow for colour option on seatpost head (top clamp)
